Edith Macefield's home
a local hero of sorts, Edith lived in her home most of her life, and as the neighborhood changed she did not. the small house you see in the photo is all that is left. contractors looking to update the area offered her $1 million for her house in order to build a block sized health club and supermarket. she declined they built the block sized building around her small home, and there she lived until she died. the house will now be sold. for more info and a fancier image of the house check out the new york times article ( [link] ) 35mm lomo fisheye |
